Parking & Traffic Regulations
All motor vehicles driven or parked on campus are required to be registered and display a current permit. Parking lot designations for employees, commuter students, and resident students are enforced from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration insures that there is fair and equitable parking for both employees and students. Registrants are asked to provide the state vehicle registration and their university identification.
Visitor Parking
Visitors coming to the University are required to request a one-day visitor parking permit from the Campus Safety and Security Department located at the Howard Administration Building. These permits are free of charge to visitors.
Individuals, departments and organizations hosting special events are required to pick up or arrange for these permits in advance with the Campus Safety and Security Department. To request a visitor's parking permit, please email security@91ciba.com.
Employees and students are NOT permitted to use a visitor parking permit.
Visitor parking spaces are reserved for visitors to the campus. Employees and students are prohibited from parking in visitor parking spaces.
Visitors are also permitted to park in Lot I, the general parking area. Please refer to the Campus Parking Map (PDF) to find these locations.
Appeal a Parking Ticket
If you receive a parking ticket, please follow the instructions on the citation for proper handling. Students and employees who feel a citation was issued in error may appeal the citation. All appeals must be submitted within 15 days of the citation's issuance. For more information review the Parking Rules and Regulations.
Bicycles
Owners of bicycles are required to register their bicycles with Campus Security. Bicycles should not be chained to railings, handicap access ramps, trees, light or sign posts or entrances to buildings. The Department of Campus Security will impound bicycles left in these locations. The owner of the bicycle may be subject to fines for improper parking. Bicycles are not permitted in University buildings.
Promulgation of parking rules, regulations, and their enforcement are authorized under University Policy 300/1.6-1.8
